Motivation - Aligning your team to your vision and values

Motivation - Understanding your team's motivation: creating a common language in teams & organisations which truly appreciates our individual differences: The Apter Motivational Style Profile (AMSP) 

This enhanced organisational development programme is an opportunity for teams to get an in-depth understanding of their individual and their team's motivation styles.  The theory which underpins this event is a well established psychological theory of motivation which argues that we cannot understand behaviour unless we understand the personal meaning which that behaviour has for the person who is performing it. This is a two stage programme including individual profiling and then a follow up team event.

This is a programme aimed to promote self and inter-team awareness and understanding. It can be designed for any team level and has been used for: 

  • Boards
  • Senior Management Teams
  • Tenant and resident groups

 

What will it cover?

 

Before the event:

Each member of the team will create an on-line motivational survey, this will be analysed and produced into an individual report.

 

Coaching - each team member will get a one hour individual coaching session giving them their feedback from the profile and using this to re-assess any key goals.

 

The event:

This one day session will cover:

  • Why motivation is so important
  • The team motivational profile
  • Analysing our team vision and values – how congruent are we with our organisation and what can we do to improve this?
  • Re-calibrate our goals
  • Team commitments...after today

LIN trainer Helena Taylor Knox is a Coaching and Business Psychologist and a member of the British Psychological Society. She is also a member of the Special Group for Coaching Psychology and the Association of Business Psychologists. Helena has a BSc in Behavioural Sciences from Leicester University and a MSc in Mental Health (Organisational Psychology & Psychiatry) from King’s College, London. After completing her clinical training in New York, Helena moved to Wiltshire which is now home to her and her business. She is currently undertaking her Doctorate in Coaching and Mentoring

As an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Housing (ACIH) Helena has over 17 years experience in housing and supported housing. Throughout the last seven years she has worked as a consultant delivering learning, development and coaching to many organisations both in the housing and the private sector. As a trainer, she has worked with over 30 organisations in the last six years designing and delivering bespoke in-house events focussed on organisational development. This has included working with high performing teams and teams with entrenched conflict at the opposite end.
